Richard is committed to the seamless integration of Eastern and Western therapeutic approaches with traditional Occupational Therapy. By integrating traditions of the East (Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Qigong, Tai Chi Chuan) with somatic therapies of the West (Feldenkrais Method, Myofascial Release, NDT, PNF, Osteopathy, and Positional Release Therapy), he has developed a uniquely integrative approach to support clients suffering from pain or disability.
Under the tab “Treatments”, sample treatment sessions are provided to clarify how a variety of approaches can be weaved together to provide a highly individualized session. Under “Conditions”, descriptions and interventions for specific health issues are clarified. Articles and audio will be available for free under the “Articles” and “Lessons” tabs. The Easy Does It = Strength, Awareness, Flexibility and Energy program is specifically designed to address the needs of older adults, other community wellness based programs, and integrative treatment ideas.
